2006 is a new chapter for China Overseas Group. Under the leadership of the management, the company has proactively kept a close touch with the capital market. As performances of various business lines excel, the share price of China Overseas Land & Investment Limited (“COLI” ; stock code : 688.HK) surges despite the unfavorable macro-controlled economic environment in mainland China. On 8 September 2006, the share price of COLI reached HK$5.92. Based on the existing share capital of 6.925 billion, the market capitalization climbed to HK$41 billion, surpassing the previous high of HK$39.4 billion just created in March this year.

At the celebration party, China Overseas Group’s president Mr. Kong Qingping reassured the hard work and efficient efforts contributed by the staff, expressing to them also the appreciation for their long-term support. Leveraging on the company’s existing healthy growth track, the company is confident that a robust growth is expected ahead, targeting an upward trend in share price and market capitalization reaching new goal of HK$50 billion!
