China Overseas’s annual report wins Honour Prize in the International ARC Awards Author:China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd.

In the 22nd International ARC Awards, which is renowned as “Oscar”  for annual reports, China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd.’s 2007 annual report has won the Honour Prize in Overall Presentation in the Real Estate Development/ Service category.

The theme of COLI’s 2007 annual report is “Sharpening Capabilities for Sustained Growth” . Coherent images of  “honeybee picking honey run through the cover to text pages to reflect the Company’s prudent operation and its blooming operation results. Content is well-structured to communicate the Company’s business strategy and operation condition, which is supported by sufficient property pictures to clearly illustrate COLI’s market position as a leading national-wide developer in mainland China.

Organized by MerComm Inc, the International ARC Awards has been honoring excellence in annual reports since 1987. Standing as the world’s largest and most authoritative annual report competition, the Awards is widely acclaimed as “Oscar”  for annual reports. Judging values are placed on creativity, clarity, effectiveness and excellence, and special elements including cover design, chairman’s letter, interior design, clarity of written text, photography, presentation of corporate information, expression of financial data etc are considered in the award assessment process. Every year, around 2,000 entries from over 20 countries enter to compete for the international recognitions.

COLI regards annual report as an important communication channel with  investors, shareholders, customers and the public on information such as the Company’s operation values, development strategy, business performance and financial data. The award recognized the international standard that COLI’s annual report achieved in terms of presentation and information content. The Company will keep on striving to enhance its level of transparency and accuracy in information disclosure, and to ensure continual improvement in its corporate governance standard.
