China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd Announces Property Sales Results for July 2010 Author:China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd.
(10 August 2010) China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd (“COLI” or “the Company”, Stock Code: 00688) announced that the property sales in July amounted to HK$5.0 billion and the total GFA of property sold reached 423,700 square meters, representing an increase of 21.0% and 0.5% respectively from those in July 2009. From January to July 2010, the total property sales amounted to HK$33.1 billion and the total GFA sold reached 2.6 million square meters, representing an increase of 8.9% and a decrease of 18.5% respectively as compared to the same period of last year.
By the end of July, the Yangtze River Delta Region (Shanghai City, Ningbo City, Suzhou City, Hangzhou City and Nanjing City) realized the strongest property sales – its sales revenue amounted to HK$8.9 billion, an increase of 12.2% as compared to the same period of year 2009. The pan-Bohai Rim (Beijing City, Tianjin City and Jinan City) recorded the strongest percentage growth in both property sales and GFA sold – its sales revenue and total GFA sold amounted to HK$5.2 billion and 343,000 square meters, an increase of 82.9% and 28.0% respectively as compared to the same period of year 2009.
COLI acquired one new project with an attributable GFA of 72,000 square meters in Macau City in July and the total land premium payable was HK$1.8 billion. Adding new land through acquisition of China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Ltd. (Stock Code: 00081), the company acquired a total new land amounting to 5.2 million square meters and the attributable portion was 4.7 million square meters. Currently, the Company has a total land reserve of 34.6 million square meters which is sufficient to meet the requirement of the Company’s development in the coming 4 -5 years.
