China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd Announces Property Sales Results for December 2011 Author:China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd.
(10 January 2012) China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd (“COLI” or the “Company”, stock code: 00688.HK) announced that the property sales in December amounted to HK$5.5 billion, and the GFA sold reached 364,200.0 square meters. From January to December 2011, the total property sales amounted to HK$87.1 billion and the total GFA sold reached 5.6 million square meters, representing an increase of 29.8% and 5.3% respectively as compared to the same period of last year.
In December, the Northern Region (Shenyang City, Changchun City, Dalian City, Qingdao City) realized both the strongest property sales and recorded the strongest GFA sold among the PRC regions – its sales revenue amounted to HK$1.5 billion, an increase of 26.7% as compared to the same period of year 2010; while its total GFA sold amounted to 145,700 square meters, recorded a Y-o-Y increase of 8.0%. The Bohai Rim (Beijing City, Tianjin City and Jinan City) achieved the strongest percentage growth in both the sales value and GFA sold among the PRC regions – its sales revenue amounted to HK$1.3 billion, an increase of 78.9% as compared to the same period of year 2010; while its total GFA sold amounted to 59,500 square meters, an increase of 44.1% as compared to the same period of last year.
In December 2011, the company acquired 2 new projects in Ningbo and Wuhan with total attributable GFA 304,353.0 square meters. The total land premium payable was RMB962.5 million. The company acquired a total new land amounting to 10.6 million square meters and the attributable portion was 10.1 million square meters so far this year.
