(16 July 2013) China Overseas Land and Investment Ltd (“COLI” or the “Company”, stock code: 00688.HK) is pleased to announce that its 2012 Annual Report garnered the 2012 Annual Report “Vision Awards” Gold Winner and was elected as one of the “Top 50 Chinese Annual Reports” from the world-renowned institution, the League of American Communications Processionals LLC (“LACP”).

COLI’s 2012 Annual Report got outstanding scores in six areas out of eight including “Report Cover”, “Letter to Shareholders”, “Report Narrative”, “Report Financials”, “Message Clarity” and “Information Accessibility”, while scored high marks in “First Impression” and “Creativity”. With its excellent performance, the Company succeeded prominently from the other 6,000 more entries to garner the “Vision Awards” Gold Winner and to be elected as one of the “Top 50 Chinese Annual Reports”. The judging panel praised highly of the Company’s annual report and commented that the report cover is notable for its classiness and elegance. The report itself is also excellent in narrative, bringing out the key messages clearly to its readers.

This international award recognizes and commends COLI for its hard work in investor relations. It also encourages the Company to further enhance its level of market communication as well as corporate governance, setting a good example in the industry.

The Annual Report “Vision Awards” is one of the renowned annual report awards organized by LACP, an international professional communications organization. This year, more than 6,000 annual reports from 24 different countries were assessed by the LACP judging panel composited of a field of communications professionals. The assessment is based on their first impression, report cover, letter to shareholders, report narrative, report financials, creativity, message clarity and information accessibility to shortlist and acknowledge organizations with outstanding performance.
