(Hong Kong, 7 June 2016) China Overseas Land and Investment Limited (the “Company”, or “COLI”; Stock Code: 00688.HK) with its persistent efforts in sustainability development encompassing operations, the environment and the society, is once again listed on Newsweek Green Rankings, and has received for the first time the honour “Top 10 Developers” from BCI Asia.

COLI’s sustainable development strategies encompass the environment, community and corporate governance. As the team leader of the Green and Energy-Efficient Building of the China Green Building Committee, COLI continues to uphold the green philosophy in project development, throughout the processes of design, procurement, construction and operation. As of 2015, COLI has obtained more than 40 certifications, including the Chinese Green Building Design Label (GBL), the US Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and the UK Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), continuing its endeavours to promote the practices and development of green properties. Since 2012, COLI has been publishing an “ESG Report” yearly (i.e. Corporate Social Responsibility Report), making disclosures on its financials, environment, and community relations. COLI has been recognised by international assessment organisations, and has been included into Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series (2010-2015), Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (2012-2015). As such, we are motivated to continue to create greater values for our clients, shareholders, communities and cities.

2016 Newsweek Green Rankings were created in partnership with Corporate Knights and HIP Investor. Newsweek Green Rankings, launched in 2009, assess the 500 largest publicly-traded companies globally on their sustainability and overall environmental performances. Other companies on the list come from banking, construction, property and pharmaceutical.

BCI ASIA Top 10 Developers was awarded by BCI Asia. The awards were bestowed to the top 10 architectural and development firms making significant contributions to the industries, with a focus on the design and sustainability.

The Award is held in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
