(Hong Kong, 6 January, 2020) China Overseas Land and Investment Limited (the “Company”, or “COLI”; Stock Code: 0688.HK) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the “2019 Caijing Magazine (Finance Magazine) Evergreen Award – Green Award for Sustainable Development” on the Sustainability Finance Summit and Caijing magazine award ceremony held in Beijing.

COLI was selected as one of the 51 winners out of 1,059 financial institutions and companies, recognizing the Company’s outstanding performance in environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance. COLI has been upholding high level of ESG standards. During the year, the Company increased disclosure on more ESG related quantitative data and followed the HKEX Reporting Guide and the Core option of the GRI Standards more comprehensively. As a result, COLI’s performance scores have increased in various sustainability indices and ratings including Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), MSCI ESG Research Rating, Bloomberg ESG Disclosure Score and Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index.

The Evergreen Awards list was organized by Caijing magazine, a national level financial magazine, with research support by the Social Value Investment Alliance. The rigorous evaluation system and assessment methods were examined the comprehensive economic, social and environmental contributions of institutions and enterprises in the past year.
