Recently, China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. (the “Company”, “COLI”; Stock Code: 0688. HK) was honoured to win a place on the first “2023 Forbes China ESG Innovative Enterprise” List. Receiving this distinguished title from the renowned business magazine “Forbes China” emphasises COLI’s outstanding ESG practices in technological innovation in green building.
The “2023 Forbes China ESG Innovative Enterprises” was newly established to showcase the ESG innovation achievements of Chinese corporations, providing valuable ESG results for reference and stimulating the Chinese business community to unleash its greatest potential. The entire selection is highly transparent and follows four selection dimensions, including enterprise growth, ESG implementation, innovation execution, and industry influence.
Forbes China listed COLI as one of the ESG innovative enterprises is an important recognition of COLI’s achievements in ESG innovation and, at the same time, gives merit to COLI’s employees for their incredible contributions. As of 30 June 2023, COLI has accumulated 296 patents in innovative green building technology. COLI focused on 11 special energy conservation and carbon reduction designs, including building energy conservation and efficient energy use, to develop the China Overseas Building project in Shenzhen. Through the integrated management of “design, construction, maintenance” and based on the green electricity trading or carbon trading market, COLI explored ways to implement the carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategy in construction works, and built it into the first 5A high-rise office building with nearly zero energy consumption in China.
